My First Month of Life

There are many people around me. A woman wraps me in a blanket and carries me with my mom, and suddenly, that woman takes me away. I want to be with you mom, but nobody listen to me.

Today is my first day of life. I am learning to breathe and to cry. Someone gives me a bath and takes me with you mom. I am really hungry; please give me something to eat. I want to be close to you, don’t leave me, please give me a hug and lots of kisses.

I'm tired of being in this place without you mommy, let’s go and take me to my new home. I'm hungry again, sorry but I have to cry because this is the only way I know that mom will listen to me, and will feed me.

This is the second day in my new home. My parents are very happy and they call me Hector. What does Hector means? I don’t know, but one day they took me to a government office and they registered that name there. How nice, I already have a real name in my first month of life. I am no longer an anonymous.

I sleep most of the day, I wake up only to eat and I go back again to sleep. At night I wake up around 2 times to eat. My parents are awake until I finish eating.

One day I woke up in the morning and I had a pain in my tummy. My mom gave me some medicine, and by magic, the pain disappeared. I love my mom because she is always with me.

I am 15 days old and my navel fell off from my tummy, I feel much better because it really bothered me.

Now I recognize the voice of my mom and dad. I recognize when they talk to me, and say nice words. I am sure that they will be with me when ever I need them.

My mommy usually bathes me when I'm hot, I love feeling the water on my body. I love my mom because she gives me a warm bottle of milk after my bath, then I sleep very comfortable.

I have learned a lot of things during this first month of life . I feel exhausted.
