First of all, read about what an expert (Dr. Edson Cano Gynecologist, Obstetrician) says about Ovulation:

There is a considerable variation in the sequence of a menstrual cycle to another, even in the same woman.

Based on “IN VITRO FERTILIZATION”, studies have been able to identify interesting features such as:

  • The peak of the luteinizing hormone (LH) tends to occur at approximately 3:00 am, starting between midnight and 8:00 am. This hormone is used to predict ovulation.
  • Ovulation occurs mainly in the morning during spring and especially in the evening in autumn and winter.
  • From July to February in the northern hemisphere, about 90% of women ovulate between 16:00 and 19:00 hours in spring, 50% of women ovulate between midnight and 11:00 hours.
  • Ovulation occurs more frequently (approximately 55% of time) in the right ovary compared with the left ovary.
  • The egg from an ovary only occurs in longer menstrual cycles, in women over 30 years and with decreased fertility.
  • During the reproductive years, more eggs are produced in the right ovary.

The above data should be taken as a reference in how to learn more about the woman's menstrual cycle. Especially in the process of ovulation should not be taken as a rule, as there are variations of a menstrual cycle, even in the same woman, and depending on where she lives, that time of year, and her age.
