The care of your baby during this first trimester pregnancy is of vital importance as it is when your baby's organs will be fully formed. Your baby is more vulnerable, that's why you must have your first prenatal appointment as soon as possible. Mom, remember that all pregnancies are different, there are no two pregnancies that develop at the same rate, or feel the same. So do not be alarmed if you do not feel or notice some changes on certain dates. At this stage, the sperm has met the egg and merged together. The embryo has become a fetus, and your baby has begun to have all the features of a human being. More amazing things will happen in your pregnancy week by week. Your baby is forming in an extraordinary way, never again after birth, humans experience similar transformations. All your baby's organs have started to operate. Some organs, like the placenta, have been created which are not in any other circumstances other than in pregnancy. This organ, so vital, connects to your circulatory system to supply oxygen and nutrients to your growing baby. During this quarter it will be absolutely necessary that your baby is being monitored with sophisticated equipment such as ultrasound. This equipment is very important because it detects all the activity that your baby is doing since the beginning of pregnancy. Moreover, this quarter is the ideal time to choose the doctor of your preference, and together with your partner you will start monitoring your pregnancy week by week. The sooner you visit your doctor, the better you will protect your beautiful baby. You have to ensure that during this first quarter your baby will be formed properly. Your baby is very vulnerable the first trimester, so you should take precautions. Do not take risks; see your doctor as soon as possible. Although your doctor will, invariably provide you the date of birth of your baby, you can also use this tool Due Date Calculator. back to top

You will have new and exciting experiences during the second trimester pregnancy. You can begin to relax and enjoy your new life as an expectant mom. Enjoy your pregnancy week by week. Your baby is fully formed and its main objective is to mature. Its different systems, especially the nervous system, will be improved. Your baby will start to behave as such. He can open and close his mouth; even he will suck his thumb. You will start seeing your pregnancy with more enthusiasm. You are about to see soon the face of your baby, even you may know its gender. It’s a boy or a girl, sounds beautiful, isn’t it? I still remember the day when I saw my baby, fully formed, and my doctor gave me the surprise that he was a beautiful child. You should see this quarter as the most comfortable of the entire pregnancy. Your belly will begin to grow up, but don’t worry; it will not be as bigger as the third trimester of pregnancy, and it won’t bother you. You should not longer have the typical discomforts of the first months, as the disgusting nausea and other symptoms of early pregnancy. You should take advantage of this trimester of pregnancy to start planning the birth of your baby. You will still feel some energy to do several things. Your body will continue changing, so do not forget to visit your doctor every month to ensure that your baby is in good health. Feel comfortable, because during this quarter the risk of abortion is much lower than the first quarter. back to top
Third Trimester Pregnancy
Week 29 | Week 30 & 31 | Week 32 & 33 | Week 34 & 35 | Week 36 & 37 | Week 38 & 39 | Week 40
Are you ready mom? You are almost at the end of the road, the pregnancy week by week is about to end. There are no more than nine months of pregnancy, so the time and the desire to see your baby is about to happen.
If for some reason, your baby is born this trimester, he would have great chances of survival. The objective of your baby in this trimester is to grow and grow, so your belly will also grow at the same rhythm to accommodate your baby. Your baby will begin to feel less room to move, but do not worry, he'll be fine. Your baby's eyes will open completely. During this last quarter you should not miss the chance to see your baby in the ultrasound, especially 3D (three dimensions). It's amazing to see your baby, like if he was out of your belly. You will start to find some resemblance to you, your spouse, or any other family member. You may feel nervous waiting for the moment of labor and delivery. This is natural, the nerves always cause uncertainty. Something that I find amazing during this trimester is how your baby begins to get position itself for birth. His head down and buttocks up. Some babies curiously change position in the last moment before birth. We do not know why, but that is the divine nature of pregnancy. Remember, your pregnancy week by week is about to end and you will receive the most beautiful gift you ever had. Before you know it, your pregnancy discomforts will all be forgotten as you hold your new baby in your arms. back to top
